Key Life Fellowship is a God honoring, Gospel centered, Bible believing church in New Caney, Texas. It is no ordinary church, but a place where ordinary people are transformed by our extraordinary God!
Here is a brief history of what our Great God has done and is doing here.
In 2008, after months of prayer and seeking wisdom from God’s Word, God began this work in the heart of Kirk Hall by leading him and his family back to his hometown to start KLF. Before long a few families joined together with Kirk and his family as they began to seek God’s will for what was to come. A home Bible study began soon after Kirk left Grace Christian Fellowship, the church that he had pastored for 7.5 years in Crossett, Arkansas. It was not long before the original group of people began to follow God’s Spirit as He led them to have their first public worship service. This service took place in the small chapel of Mission Northeast (a community assistance ministry) on March 22nd, 2009. From that point forward God began to increase their membership through the preaching of the Gospel. Hundreds of people began to surrender their lives to Christ and witness the evidence of God’s sovereign work in them and in their families. The congregation quickly outgrew the chapel at the Mission and were faced with the new challenge of finding a building that could handle the growth.
The leadership of Key Life thought that they had found the solution, but boy were they mistaken! The first meeting in their new worship facility (which they thought would handle another 50-60 more people) was completely full and then some. The leadership quickly began to pray about what they should do next as the congregation became standing room only. God in His faithfulness to work things out as only He can soon provided them with their current worship and education facility.
Through the faithfulness to preach and teach God’s Word and the Gospel, God has continued to do what He started here at KLF: rescue sinners for His glory and disciple those He has redeemed through Christ. He has done this so that we can proclaim to our community the message of the Gospel. So, here we are, many years down the road but still in awe of what God continues to do. Our prayer is that God continues to be glorified and that lives continue to be changed through the preaching and the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We hope that you will join us for one of our Sunday morning worship times soon.
